Rail and Truck Ops

The rail corridor between Mobile and Houston sees the highest concentration of tank cars in the United States. St. James is strategically located midway along this Gulf Coast corridor. With our facility representing one of only four public access sites between New Orleans and Baton Rouge that offers a spur off of the mainline of the Canadian National Railroad, St. James provides its rail customers with a reliable and commercially viable location for railcar offloading and cleaning. The Canadian National Railroad switches St. James six days per week.

St. James has bottom dump rail to truck unloading capability. St. James also has rail car cleaning capabilities with full recovery and disposal of wash water.  Sand blasting of rail car interiors is also offered.

Only minutes away from Interstate 10, Highways 70, 61, 44, 22, with easy access to I-12, I-55, and I-59 as well as being geographically situated approximately midway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, St James is an ideally located distribution point for your commodities via truck.
