In Plant Services

St. James offers in-plant stevedoring services to facilities along the Gulf Coast.  We provide stevedores and equipment to handle stevedoring and heavy lifts needs up to and including the management of dock operations.  Where possible we bring our technological package of cameras and wireless communication to give the in plant operations direct St. James management involvement.

One of the benefits of our in-plant services is that we can leverage our experienced team and world class equipment to meet the specific needs of our customers - we then go away until the need arises again.

The new Yara North America, Union Terminal is built around the concept of using St. James in-plant services capability.  The terminal is able to have access to our Gottwald cranes without having to make the capital outlay necessary to purchase a crane. 

St James’ owns 375 acres located on River Road with only minutes to I-10 and easy access to I-12, I-55, I-59 and highways 70, 61, 44, and 22,  the Mississippi River, and CN Rail line. The property site has two warehouses, a rail spur with space for approximately 57 railcars, a railcar offloading spot, a truck loading spot, and an office building. This property also has the capability of housing other warehouse and rail installations and is within 1,000 feet of Nucor's Convent property.
