COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

At St. James, we think of community service as a “community opportunity”. Because so many St. James employees live in the surrounding communities our involvement happens in many different ways. Whether it is contributing to the local church fair or meeting with our neighbors, St. James is committed to the community in which we live and work.

We’re proud to be partners with Romeville Elementary School as part of our Partner in Education program. This partnership helps aid in developing the future of the community- our children.

St. James volunteers provide help with reading programs and assist with direct support for Romeville Elementary.  In 2009 St. James was nominated by the State of Louisana Department of Education for the Distinguished Partners in Education award.

We also actively particpate in our community and actively participate with community groups and local government to improve life in St. James Parish. St. James supports the 4-H Club and also participates in an annual Thanksgiving food drive.

St. James is a proud supporter of Riverworks Discovery Program who's mission is to educate children and their families about the commerce, culture and conservation of the great rivers of America and their watersheds. Learn how you can help educate children or support this endeavor here:
